About us
The Mount Zion 7th Day Church of God traces its beginnings to 1882, when it was founded in the United States of America through the dedication and faithfulness of early Sabbath keepers. Through those same steadfast efforts the Church was later established in the United Kingdom by way of Jamaica.
The International Headquarters took root in London under the leadership of Bishop E. S. Henry. In 1971 he received a divine message calling him to evangelise, and in that same year he was ordained as a Minister by C. D. Reid, the late Bishop and President of the Mount Zion Sanctuary 7th Day Assemblies of Jamaica, during Reid’s visit to the United Kingdom. Pastor Henry and his family joined with Pastor Parr and his family to begin a fellowship in Streatham, South London. The continued growth of this ministry led to the establishment of the International Headquarters Church in London, along with several branches across the United Kingdom and incorporated and affiliated Conferences and churches in Jamaica, Guyana, St Maarten, Pakistan, India, Kenya, Tanzania, and St Lucia.
The organisation offers support to other groups through leadership, administration, Christian education, and church planting, while enabling each group to manage and govern its own church independently.
